This is an Engineering Interface Engineering Commands and is to be issued at the engineering interface.
LOADFIBRE Command
Format: | LOADFIBRE n flag
n = Number of fibre flag = 0-2 - see description |
Description: | Update the position of fibre n in memory and on disk. flag determines the method used to determine the fibre position. Flag = 0, it is assumed that the fibre has been centred in the gripper tv system by moving the robot and therefore the current robot position is used as the current fibre position. Flag = 1, it is assumed that the fibre is currently visible in the gripper tv system but the position is determined by centroiding the image and adding the offsets from the centre of the tv to the current gripper tv position. Flag = 2, it is assumed that the robot has been moved to the last known position of the fibre and that it may not be visible, a spiral search covering an area of approximately 3.6mm by 3.6 mm is conducted which stops if a fibre image is found which does not correspond to another known fibre. The fibre image position is determined using a centroid and this position used to update the fibre records. |
Example: | Engineering command > loadfibre 47 2 |
