The total solar eclipse on the 12th of August, 2026 was seen as a partial eclipse from La Palma. This video shows the lunar transit over the Sun, imaged using a ZWO ASI585MM camera on a Skywatcher Heliostar 76A H-alpha telescope and AZEQ-6 mount. A custom Python script was used to take care of alignment, stacking, sharpening, colorisation and movie creation. The entire transit was recorded. A few minutes after the end of the eclipse, the Sun set, making an interesting final movie effect.
