As from TCS version W17-1-0, both DecNET and DRAMA communication channels
are initiated when starting up the TCS.
From LPAS4:
- On TO term, open up a telnet window and connect to LPAS4
- Login as WHT_LOGIN and type START at the menu option
- This pops up two windows, the TCS Display and the TCS user interface
window. The original window destroys itself.

Autoguider
The autoguider still is on the serial port...
- From TO terminal launcher window, connect to serial port 1
- Choose cass, ghril, etc ..

- log on LPAS4
- USERNAME: genuser
- PWD: ***********
- Option> PLOT
- PLOT> CD DISK$LOGS:[WHT.DATA.ENCODER]
- PLOT> DATA ENC021030.DAT;5 (or whatever file it is)
- PLOT> READ 1 UTC
- PLOT> READ 2 AZIMUTH POSERROR (any parameter you like ploting on
this data file)
- PLOT> DEVICE XWINDOW
- PLOT> LIMITS
- PLOT> BOX 15 20 -0.3 0.3 (or any suitable data range)
- PLOT> PLOT
Tape Encoders
With zeroset absolute.
- USER> ENCODER ON AZIMUTH TAPE1
- USER> ENCODER ON AZIMUTH TAPE2
- USER> ENCODER ON AZIMUTH TAPE3
- USER> ENCODER ON AZIMUTH TAPE4
- USER> ENCODER OFF AZIMUTH GEAR
To revert back:
- USER> ENCODER OFF AZIMUTH TAPE1
- USER> ENCODER OFF AZIMUTH TAPE2
- USER> ENCODER OFF AZIMUTH TAPE3
- USER> ENCODER OFF AZIMUTH TAPE4
- USER> ENCODER ON AZIMUTH GEAR
