Part of the nebula IC 1396B in the constellation Cepheus imaged in the red light from hydrogen atoms. The image scale here is roughly 15 × 15 square arcminutes, with N to the left and E down.
This image was obtained as part of the
INT/WFC Photometric Hydrogen-Alpha Survey of the Northern Galactic Plane (IPHAS).
