Exhibit 'Light Years' in Barcelona

The exhibit 'Light Years' by Catalonian artist Eugènia Balcells, was inaugurated recently on 16th of March in the museum Cosmocaixa, Barcelona. In addition, two other works 'A tribute to the elements' and 'Frequencies' present the emission spectra of the elements of the periodic table as matter fingerprints, a metaphor for the interaction between light and matter, and a source of physical information on the cosmos.

The exhibit will remain open until 10th June in the Cosmocaixa museum, Calle Isaac Newton 26, Barcelona. A round table discussion on the relation between art and science, with the participation of the ING Director Marc Balcells, will take place in the museum at 18:00 on Thursday, 10th May.
