On 10 July, 2018 senior ex-Director of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, Keiichi Kodaira and his wife visited the William Herschel Telescope. Professor Kodaira was responsible for the construction of Subaru Telescope on Hawaii, among other important merits in astronomy research.
