COCAM: Cometary camera
First light (at ING): Feb 1997. Designed and built by: ING
Description: CoCAM was fabricated by staff of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes (ING) in order to obtain high-quality, wide field images (on a nightly basis) of the comet Hale-Bopp. CoCAM is specially important due to its large field of view which is 20 degrees. So CoCAM is able to image the entire comet and tail.
