Zodiacal light and the Milky Way
Description: The zodiacal light, an elongated bar photographed towards the top-left side of the image, is made of millions of small particles of ice and dust located at the ecliptic plane of the Solar System, which reflect the light of the Sun. Towards the top-right side of the image, the Milky Way is clearly visible, showing some black structures made of dust which block the light from the innermost stars in our galaxy. On the bottom, the JKT and WHT telescopes can be seen. Taken on the 6th November 2018 using a Canon EOS 6D Mark I and a Canon 24-70mm f4 IS USM lens, exposure time 20-30s.
