Image Orientation

In order to achieve an image orientation with Aux such that North is up and East is to the left, you will need to set the sky position angle to 135 degrees. This may be done as follows:
  • Stop auto-guiding.

  • If necessary, switch to the Aux port imager by issuing the following command in the Instrument Control System window (pink):

    SYS> agaux

  • Ask the Telescope Operator (TO) to move to a sky position angle of 135 degrees. This will take around 2 minutes and can be done in parallel with the switch to Aux described in the previous step.
Remember to change the sky position angle back to zero if necessary when switching to another instrument (E.g. ISIS, etc.).
