EU financial support
Financial support is provided by the European Commission.
High-Level Scientific Conferences.

room + subsistence + registration fee) of about 40 young
European researchers working in Europe who meet the following criteria of eligibility:
- no more than 35 years old at the time of the conference
- national of a Member State of the European Union or of an Associated
State
-
working in an institution inside a Member State or an
Associated State
B) covers a larger fraction of the expenses of about some 10
European researchers working outside Europe (of any age), who meet
the following criteria of eligibility:
- national of a EU Member State or an Associated State
- working outside member States and Associated States at the time of the conference
C) covers 50% of the expenses of the invited speakers,
irrespective of their nationality and affiliation.
EU Member States are Austria, Belgium, Denmark,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the
Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
EU Associated States are Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus,
Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania,
Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia (Switzerland will also
be considered as an Associated State as soon as official negotiations
are completed)
Other financial support
The organisers may also have very limited funds to help other
participants who do not enter in the categories above and are short of
funding. It may be possible to give either a discount on the
registration fee, or a cheaper accomodation. Those applying for such
financial assistance may send an email to symbio@ing.iac.es to explain why
they need help, and in the case of students emailed support from their
supervisors may also be useful.
How to apply...
If you intend to apply for one of the grants above, please fill in the
appropriate part of the Registration
form. If you have already registred, just register again.
