Venue and accommodation
The conference will be held in the Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, Los
Cancajos, La Palma. Los Cancajos is a quiet beach resort located
between La Palma airport and the capital Santa Cruz de La Palma. The
distance from Los Cancajos to either of these two is about 4km. There
is a half-hourly bus service all day Santa Cruz-Los Cancajos-Airport
and back, and taxi fares are around 6 Euros from/to Santa Cruz or the
aiport. Bus and taxi to/from the airport take 5-10 minutes.
Accommodation will also be in Hotel H10
Taburiente Playa. Special rates that include buffet breakfast and a rich
buffet dinner will be available for participants.
A limited amount of cheaper accommodation in apartments to be shared
by 2 or 3 persons will also be available in H10 Costa Salinas
Apartments (right next to Taburiente Playa, operated by
the same management). These apartments are especially thought for
young researchers funded by the EU and for other participants who
asked for financial support (we will contact you soon for further
information).
Participants will have breakfast and dinner (if included) in their own
hotel.
For lunch or dinner, there are several restaurants as well as supermarkets in
Los Cancajos.

How to make your reservations
You are expected to make your own hotel/apartment reservations

specifying
- your name
- that you will participate in the Symbiotic Stars conference
- the dates of arrival and departure
- the hotel: H10 Taburiente Playa or Costa Salinas
- the type of accommodation: single/double/triple, breakfast only or
half board (breakfast+dinner). In case of half board, if possible please also
indicate whether the supplement for water and wine for dinner (3.61 E) will
be included
- number of accompanying persons
- name of the credit card holder, credit card type, number, and
expiry date
The credit card is used to guarantee the hotel reservation, but no
charge will be applied.
