The ncu.sch schematic
This schematic holds the sub-schematics that are used to control the NAOMI calibration unit.
The following symbols can be seen on the diagram:
-
tiptilt.sch, or Tip/tilt mirror,
will contain the schematic used to control the Calibration unit tiptilt mirror. Control
signals for this mirror will come from a VMIC arbitrary waveform generator card. This
software is not currently included in the NAOMI mechanism control release.
-
mask.sch, or Motorised Mask, contains the
schematic used to control the calibration unit mask, which is driven into or out
of the optical path by a DC motor.
-
beamsplit.sch, or Beamsplitter mech, contains the
sub-schematic for driving the calibration unit beamsplitter into or out of the optical path.
The position of the beamsplitter determines whether the calibration unit source can be imaged
by the wavefront sensor optics, and is altered using a steppermotor.
-
nculamp.sch, or Calibration lamp, contains the
sub-schematic that controls the status of the calibration source. The source can be switched
on or off, and its intensity as seen by the wavefront sensor can be altered by changing the
orientation of a shutter located in front of the lamp.
-
utils.sch, or Utilities, contains a schematic that is used
to generate the required behaviour in some of the binary input records used for NAOMI.
