Photos Announcing poster SOC & LOC members About OASIS About ING About La Palma La Palma weather 5 May 2005  Conference organised by the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes (ING) | Venue and accommodation The conference will be held in the Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, Los Cancajos, La Palma. Los Cancajos is a quiet beach resort located between La Palma airport and the capital Santa Cruz de La Palma. The distance from Los Cancajos to either of these two is about 4km. There is a half-hourly bus service all day Santa Cruz-Los Cancajos-Airport and back, and taxi fares are around 6 Euros from/to Santa Cruz or the aiport. Bus and taxi to/from the airport take 5-10 minutes. We expect most participants to be based in the hotel. As you can see on the hotel web pages, the hotel offers bars, and a restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served. For lunch, there are several restaurants as well as supermarkets in Los Cancajos, and there may be a possibility to eat a buffet lunch in the hotel - we will confirm this later. There are conference rooms, a large pool, and the beach is only a few minutes walk away. See the hotel web pages for more information and pictures. For the workshop the hotel has offered us very attractive prices, both for the Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, as for H10 Costa Salinas Apartments that belong to the same chain. Prices are listed below.
