In BSCW, a Note is an object that may be transferred or deleted and destroyed like other types of objects -- with a few minor exceptions and extra features.

on the button bar for selected objects to remove the Notes from a Discussion Forum. Just as Documents or URL objects they are transferred to your Bag or Wastebasket (see section 3.6).
This also removes the Notes from the browsing sequence of the Discussion. You cannot access them any more by clicking

. The Notes are not, however, removed from the Web of reply links when they are transferred to another Discussion or to your Bag or Wastebasket. By clicking the reply links, the members of the Workspace may access Notes in your Bag or Wastebasket. Only when a Note is destroyed from the Wastebasket of its owner is it removed from the Web of reply links, possibly breaking this web.
BSCW lets you 
a Note only into a Discussion Forum. If the current selection in your Bag contains only Note objects, the [Drop] action is available only on the [Action] bars of Discussion objects. If the current selection in your Bag contains Note objects and objects of other types, the [Drop] action is not available at all. In this case you need to modify the current selection manually (see section 3.6.1).
