Control system not working.

1. Press RETURN on the System Console. If you do not get the ``*'' prompt, the system is dead. Continue at section .
2. Probe the current state of the computer by attempting to type on the System Console:-

   D(ISPLAY) D(EVICES)

   If you get no response, then either the computer needs to be initialised or the terminal is not connected. See Section in both cases.

   Otherwise, you will see a list of devices.
