4.8.3.3 Change Description

When a versioned Document is shared, it is important that all members of the Workspace are able to follow its version history, e. g. to find the earlier version that is just prior to a critical modification. Thus, the author of a new version should make use of the 'Changes made in version ...' field of the Revise Document name' form to describe the modifications that differentiate this version from the immediately preceding one.

The 'Change Description' column of the Version history table in the Documents's Info page displays, for each version, the text that the author of a new version has provided.
