4.7.4 Restructuring action clusters

By default, all technically feasible actions on an object are grouped in five action clusters:

Get
Copy
Get
Get ext.

Change
Add Discussion
Add Document
Add Folder
Add Meeting
Add Search
Add URL
Edit Banner
Edit Desc.
Rename
Change ext.
Cut
Delete
Share
Add Member
Public Access

If you need a different assignment of actions than that provided by the BSCW default action clusters, you may modify the columns of the Access control table and define new action clusters in additional columns:

In addition, you may add a column to extend the table for a new action cluster of your own design.

BSCW will display the Access control table with the revised action clusters, so you may assign the appropriate access control values.

Note:
Access rights based on user-defined clusters are not inherited. If you add objects to a Folder, Meeting or Discussion object whose access rights are based on user-defined action clusters, the embedded objects will have BSCW's default access rights.
