The following procedure describes taking data in STARE and ND_STARE modes,
which are the normal modes for WHIRCAM. See § 8 for
taking exposures in Shift+Add mode.
First, load a CONFIG appropriate to your planned observing. If you
don't do this you may be in an incorrect filter or have an incorrect
observing mode selected in the setup phase.
- Start from the `Imaging' menu and go into the
`Set_instrument' menu.
- Select the `Recall_configuration' menu and enter the name
of the pre-defined CONFIG to be used and select YES for
`Apply_now' option. PF1 twice to exit back to the `Imaging'
menu. The named CONFIG will load into the system and will be executed
(i.e. filters will move, the exposure time set, etc).
