These pages are here to provide engineering information about
OSCA. This is the chronograph used in-conjunction with NAOMI and INGRID.
OSCA general information
OSCA is situated between the beam splitter of NAOMI and INGRID. It is
par focal and as such does not require INGRID to be re-focused when
used.
It is hoped that in the future OSCA will be commissioned with OASIS,
an integral field spectrograph used with NAOMI.
Although OSCA has been commissioned to work with INGRID there is
still work in progress. These can be found in the PIMS database and on
the work list page.
