Autofib 2/WYFFOS Telescope Instrument Setup Procedure
Section 6 : Engineering Check
On Taurus there is a tipsession connected to use the engineering interface to
the AF2 VME
Engineering Checks

Wake the Robot
-
Autofib OS/9 > eng
-
Engineering command > local
-
Engineering command > wake
-
If it wakes you will hear the gripper jaws actuate 3 times. Sleep
and wake the robot again.

Engineering command > sleep
-
Engineering command > wake
-
View a science fibre.
-
View a guide fibre.
-
Load all of the positions into the system

Set System to operate from ICL
-
Engineering command > remote
-
Engineering command > quit
Start ICL and check Rotator

Start ICL and configure for AF2 with wyffos (option 8)

When TCS comes up Select Prime AF2 rotator
-
Check rotator limits + - Send to a cardinal point i.e. 90 degrees. Look
at robot it should be Orthogonal
Now the Daily AF2/WYFFOS duty engineer checks can be carried out.
