Imaging with LDSS-2

LDSS-2 is described in more detail in Section gif. Although primarily a spectroscopic instrument it can be used for deep broad-band imaging, and its imaging mode is often used to select targets for deep spectroscopic observations. A broad-band BVR filter set is provided, and because of the large number of air-glass surfaces in LDSS, and the fact that the anti-reflection coatings are optimised over the range 370-750 nm, LDSS is not recommended for imaging observations outside this range.
