Overview

The CCDs currently available on the ING telescopes are described in Chapter gif, although the availability of CCDs changes rapidly, and users should contact the RGO for the latest information. Information on CCD availability is published regularly in Spectrum. The CCDs in most common use at the time of writing are EEV P88300 1242 x 1152 pixel chips (thick), and Tektronix 1024 pixel square thinned chips. A small format thinned GEC chip is available at the INT. Field sizes quoted in Table gif are for some of these chips.
