WYFFOS was used successfully to obtain spectra for ?? galaxies during a redshift survey of K-band selected galaxies by the Durham group (Sharples et al.). Some representative spectra are shown here.
Bridges and Ebeling obtained spectra for 30--40 galaxies in the field of two merging galaxy clusters at a redshift z=0.04. Most interestingly, several galaxies in this field are actually part of a higher redshift cluster at z=0.16; this more distant cluster can be seen in ROSAT X-ray data. Here are spectra of two galaxies with B=17-18, taken with the R600B grating in a total integration of 3300 sec: at z=0.04 , and at z=0.16 .
All of the data shown in this document have been reduced using the IRAF wyf_red package written by Jim Lewis at RGO.
