INGRID (Isaac Newton Group Red Imaging Device) is the near IR imager for NAOMI at the GRACE Nasmyth focus of the 4.2m WHT. It was mostly built and developed at ING, and commissioned in March 2000. INGRID uses a 1k x 1k HAWAII detector for imaging from 0.8 to 2.5 μm. The pixel scale is 0.04"/pix, yielding a total field of view of about 40" x 40" with NAOMI.

INGRID is now permanently attached at the Nasmyth focus of the WHT. Its successor at the Cassegrain focus is LIRIS. If you require information which is not provided in this webpage, or if you have suggestions for improving it, then please do not hesitate and contact us.
