INGRID SDSU Software Documentation and Sources.

This web source directory structure is now used only as an information center for INGRID software versions.

If you're looking for a particular file (eg. .lod file) then the best (and safest) method to find it is to unpack the specific file from the .tar.Z packages. Any development work should now be carried out using cvs. The cvs repository an be browsed by clicking here. Note thet the cvs 'revision' number is not the software version number.

For your information about versions :-

Version 2.1 is the first local code produced for INGRID on island and is compatible with early development (i.e phase 1).

Version 2.3 is the commissioning code used with ImpB Host software. It has a few minor bugs.

Version 2.4 is the bug fixed version of 2.3, nominally run on ImpB v1.7 software.

Version 3.1 is the UltraDas commissioning code and currently the operational version.

Version 3.2 uses bias switching and dynamic timing control in an attempt to reduce detector dark current, glow and remove the exponental gradient in the slow (column) direction.

Versions after 3.2 are produced under CVS control and then archived here for backup. If you need to modify and / or recompile source then the you will need CVS access to the dspdev account (see smt, dba). The cvs module is called 'InfraRed' and can be booked out in the normal manner.

Hope this helps !
 Peter Moore.

N.B V6.0 as found in the CVS will produce .lod files for both timing and utility identical to those currently in use. However the BOOT eeproms produced using the V6.0 CVS files will not have checksums that match those currently in use. The timing eeprom checksum in use corresponds to V4.0, V6.0 will however work, the only difference being the introduction of an 'equate' for future use. Utility eeprom P2 also has a checksum mismatch, this however is just a change of version number.
