For each object, the Access details table in the object's Info page shows the current access rights.
The Access details table has a row for each member of the Workspace. It may have an additional row for 'All users except members of <object name>'. This indicates that access rights have been granted beyond the group of Workspace members. Detailed information about who may access the object without being a member of the Workspace will be displayed only to the owners of the object:
to bring up the 'Access control table for object name' form. In its bottom part the rows below 'Other users except ...' show which users and BSCW groups that are not members of the Workspace have been granted access rights. (For details on the interpretation and use of the table see section 4.7.5.)
As an owner of the object you may use the Access details table to find out how a specific access right of a particular member (= a cell in the table) has been derived:
to display the page entitled 'Access rights evaluation on object object name for user name'. For details on its interpretation see section 4.7.5.
BSCW uses the icon of an object to warn you of especially broad access rights: if the user anonymous or all registered users of the BSCW Server may access (read) the object, its
icon is displayed as
.
If you have been denied specific rights for an object, the corresponding actions are not available to you, i. e. a specific button or [Action] is missing for this object.
