3.3 Shareable objects

BSCW provides several types of objects that you may create, manage and share in a Workspace.

  Discussion

The icon to the left of the object name indicates the class of the object. For a Document the icon identifies its MIME type (see section 3.3.1).

A Folder, Meeting or Discussion may contain other objects. A Folder, Meeting or Discussion may be turned into a shared Workspace (see section 4.4 and section 4.5). In a Folder (Meeting, Discussion) page the objects it contains are represented by entries in a standardized layout.

to display its content in a separate page or -- if the object is a Document that your Web browser cannot display-- to download the file.
