Gemini and modified GMOS records used for NAOMI mechanism control

The NAOMI mechanism control software uses the Gemini EPICS 3.12.2 GEM5 release, making use of the Gemini CAD, CAR and genSub records. Gemini documentation for these is contained in reference [A5]. For more general EPICS development documentation see references [A3] and [A4].

Mechanism control and co-ordination are performed using the GMOS deviceControl and assemblyControl records. After being received by the NAOMI project, these records underwent further development by both the NAOMI and GMOS teams, with the aims of fulfilling the requirements of each project respectively. Consequently, the NAOMI versions of these records differ in some respects to the GMOS versions. The record manuals are reproduced below, with notes bringing them up-to-date with the eventual status of the records used for NAOMI.
