The wfs.sch schematic

This schematic contains symbols for the sub-schematics that control the wavefront sensor and related mechanisms. Symbols that appear on the diagram are:

• pickoff.sch, or Pick-off mechs, contains records that control the wavefront sensor pick-off and other mechanisms whose positions must be closely tied to the pick-off position. This tight coupling is designed to ensure that an image of the guide star can be maintained adequately in focus at the CCD cameras, as the pick-off is being moved.
• adc.sch, or ADC mechs, contains records that control the orientation of the two prisms that comprise the Atmospheric Dispersion Compensator (AtmDC, or ADC), mounted in the optical path of the wavefront sensor.
• filter.sch, or Filter mechs, contains records control the filter selection wheel mounted on the wavefront sensor.
• dm.sch, or DM mechs, contains records that control the two motors that are used to modify the position of the NAOMI deformable mirror (DM).
• temp.sch, or Temperature sensors, will contain records that service the thermocouples mounted about the NAOMI wavefront sensor. This software is not currently included in the NAOMI release.
• shutter.sch, or CCD shutter, contains records that control the shutter mounted on the CCD cameras.
• wfslamp.sch, or WFS lamp, contains records that are used to switch the wavefront sensor calibration source (which is not the same lamp as that mounted in the calibration unit) on or off.
• camera.sch, or WFS camera, contains records that are used to switch on/off the COHU camera that is mounted on the wavefront sensor.
