Usage: detstat
 
Category: Data Acquisition Command
 
Description: This command determines the status of the INGRID SDSU Controller, the infrared detector array and the camera cryostat temperature sensors. 

If all is well a status report is printed and the user is informed that the INGRID SDSU Controller is ready for observing. If all is not well diagnostic information is displayed to provide clues as to the cause of the fault and possible corrective actions.

This command is the primary diagnostic tool where problems are encountered during data acquisition. It is able to diagnose and report on the following faults:

  • SDSU Controller device driver not installed.
  • Software not installed correctly.
  • SDSU Controller in use by other process.
  • Timing Board not responding.
  • Utility Board not responding.
  • Incorrect camera connected ie camera other than INGRID.
  • SDSU application code not present.
  • SDSU camera not powered.

Assuming none of the above fault conditions exist the command is able to report:
  • Timing Board boot s/w version.
  • Timing Board application code s/w version.
  • Utility Board boot s/w version.
  • Utility Board application s/w version.
  • Minimum Exposure Time reported by Controller.
  • Temperature Servo Demand Temperature.
  • Detector Temperature.
  • Casting Temperature.
  • Shield Temperature.
