  • Gemini records

    The CAD/CAR/SIR support, used by INGRID, USP, LIRIS

  • Motor record

    Needed by INGRID, USP, LIRIS and INTEGRAL
    
    Note ISISP also use the motor record, but the support was deployed locally due to compatibility issues.

  • et_wish / itclCA

    Needed by itclCA and all the application OCS observers display.
    
    The package is pretty old (eg. dodgy support for waveform via BLT), maybe ING next contribution could be an update of this package (it's pretty easy). Suggest to look at the thread on pythonCA and use Swig for the whole thing.

    ezca (for caput/caget etc. UNIX shell clients), pythonCA and eventually javaCA.

    The Alarm Handling Package

  • medm

    Used for the Engineering Displays.

  • Striptool

    A monitoring tool.

• Building

  The EPICS base must first be built, and the required extension source code installed in the $EPICS/extensions/src directory. The correct sitewide configuration will have been setup when compiling EPICS base.
  
  Change to the required extension directory to be built and compile ie:-

  • cd $EPICS/extensions/src/medm
  • make clean
  • make

  Should make the medm program.
