The purpose of this document is to provide a description on how to connect to the EDUROAM infrastructure within the ING.

Prerequisites

It is assumed that :

• Your institution is connected to EDUROAM
  
• You, as a client, have an EDUROAM activated account in your institution.
• The computer you are connecting from has a IEEE 802.1X compliant wireless network card and the needed software installed to act as a supplicant.
  

Procedure

Caveats

1. Depending on the site the security type might change and can be WPA2-Enterprise instead of WPA-Enterprise and encryption AES instead of TKIP, check the EDUROAM locations link and click on the site you are visiting for more information. At the ING the key management is set to WPA2 and the encryption to AES CCMP.
   
2. Once connected to EDUROAM you will get a local IP provided by the institution where you are. This implies that the connection can be restricted according to the local institution firewall rules. To be able to connect to the ING private web pages, the ING VPN must be activated.
   

Tips

1. If your browser is not able to reproduce the demostration videos or does it too fast, just download them and try other tool to play them.
