Pipeline usage at ING
- Quicklook Pipeline reduction
During the night the observed frames are automatically quicklook reduced
(steps 1-4 of the pipeline). The files are available to the observer
about 5 minutes after a frame was taken. Files can be accessed in IRAF by
prepending qldata$ to the file name and replacing "r" by "q" in the file name.
r123456.fit -> qldata$q123456.fit
Quick look reduced data is only kept until the beginning of the next observing
night.
- Science pipeline data reduction
At the end of each run the quality of calibration frames is assessed and
the best bias and flat field frames built.
All data is then processed through steps 1-4. Steps 5-7 will be added soon.
The reduced data will be available about 3-5 days after the observing run ends.
