Many commands can be accompanied by qualifiers, some of which are general to
almost all commands and some of which are specific to a few commands. All
qualifiers have default values or default settings. In many cases the user can
adjust the defaults to his or her needs (see section ). A summary of
functions of qualifiers is given in table
along with their default
values, where applicable.
Most qualifiers may be negated. If a qualifier (in either
positive or negative form) is used more than once with the same command, the
action is determined by the last occurrence. Table
(right-hand pages) and table
show with what commands each qualifier may be used.
