Over the years a plethora of CCD detectors have been in use at practically
all ING instruments. A listing of past and current detectors was kindly provided
by Dr. P. Jordan of RGO and is given in Table at the end of this
Part I. This table is also
included in the on-line help facilty of the archive and will be kept up-to-date.
CCD detectors in the catalogue are described either by `CCD' (on JKT and INT)
or by the camera name, e.g. EEV3, (on WHT). It is intended that the camera name
will be shown throughout, and we are in the process of amending the catalogue
accordingly (see section ).
