EXPOSE

Exposes a detector without clearing or reading out.

Format: EXPOSE <channel>

Channel: The name of the data-acquisition channel.

Examples: expose pfip

Queuable: No.

Comments: This command is only allowed when a channel is paused. It is only really useful during an interactive exposure, although it will work at other times. If a CCD is in use, it is not cleared or read out: finish does that. Similarly, if the IPCS is in use, the buffer is not zeroed and the exposure is co-added to existing data. With a CCD, the shutter is opened to time the exposure, which has the length previously set by run etc. or by newtime. With the IPCS the shutter is not moved; use shutter if it is not already in the right position.
