Command reference section

This chapter is a reference section, describing all commands concerned with data acquisition. Commands are first listed alphabetically, then listed by function, then defined in detail (in alphabetical order).

Commands for operating the telescope are listed in the telescope users manual, and commands for operating different instruments are summarised in the instrument manuals.

Where reference is made to a channel name, see Table 1.1 for the allowed set of names.

Notation:

Examples of commands entered at the terminal are in typewriter font: USLITWIDTH 50;
Angle brackets denote parameter values or character strings: <angle>;
Square brackets denote optional input: [x,y]; all other parameters are obligatory;
Parentheses in a command name indicate how the command may be abbreviated.
