Warm Start

  If the computer was shut down in a controlled manner, e.g. in anticipation of a power failure, then it can be `warm' restarted as follows:

1. Check that the EGLE disc is ready:
   • protect switch OFF, i.e. in position opposite ON
   • start switch ON.
   • Start, Power On and Ready lights all lit.
2. Go to the system console, and check that the EGLE disc is ON with:

   D D

   If the device EGLE is OFF, then do:

   MA EGLE:,ON,,CD=ALL

3. Subsequently, type:

   STARTUP

   When the system is ready for use it will display the message:
