Check the following:
- Check that the dome is not vignetting the telescope. The
dome azimuth and telescope azimuth on the telescope status
display should be the same. If not, someone has probably turned
the dome motors off.
- Check that the primary mirror cover is open, and that
the UES Nasymth flat (Nasymth 2 on the engineering console)
has been selected.
- Check the mimic to make sure that the dark slide has been
opened. The dark slide has to be opened manually;
ask your support astronomer or telescope operator.
- Check that the autoguider filter is not in the opaque
position (or Nd=5.0 or 3.0!).
