Spectrograph not configured properly

If you get an error message saying that the spectrograph has not configured to a specified central wavelength, the most likely cause is that one of the echelle mechanisms has not reached the demanded position. In the first instance initialise the mechanism that shows red on the mimic with the command:

ICL> UES_INIT <mechanism>
Then reissue the CENWAVE31 (or CENWAVE79) command. If any of the mechanisms still fail to reach their demanded positions then call the Duty Tech or Support Astronomer to investigate the problem further.
