TVSETSCALE - Reset finder TV scales

You must supply the X and Y scales in arcsec/TV pixel. These numbers are best determined by trailing a star from one edge of the TV frame to the other on both X and Y and noting the number of arcsec the telescope had to be shifted. Divide these numbers by 512 (the number of pixels in a TV frame) to obtain the scale factors in arcsec/pixel.

If significant differences are found (i.e. more than 5) between the values thus determined and the values the TV currently holds, the Software Group Manager should be informed as soon as possible so that the defaults can be updated. The current defaults can be found by using the DISTANCE option provided by the TV menu to measure the number of arcsec in X and Y from one side of the TV frame to the other.

The values you send to the TV will not be used until you have explicitly selected the finder TV. This means that, after using the TVSETSCALE command, you must select one of the other cameras (e.g. Cass.), and then go back to the finder TV.

The scale values are temporary in the sense that when you come out of ADAM and restart, you will have to re-issue the TVSETSCALE command as the values you have loaded may have been lost.
