STATS - Analyse an image file

As the name implies this program produces some statistical parameters for an image file. These are the minimum and maximum pixel values and their positions within the array together with the mean, standard deviation and sum of all the pixel values. There are two main ways of using this program.

a) Simply type STATS and follow the prompts. For a CCD image, statistics will be produced for the whole image except the under/overscan regions or for just the overscan region (depending on your replies to the prompts).

b) Type STATS STATSFULL=F This gives you the option of choosing only part of the array from which to calculate the statistics.
