DIS(P) - Display an image

Displays an image on the Lexidata. This will not often be necessary when using the high-level commands, since both GLANCE and RUN do an automatic display.

Parameters

There are some, perhaps the most useful being a previous run, but default values will normally be acceptable. By default, the current image is displayed unscaled and centred in the center of the Lexidata screen.

Examples

Adam:> DISP

Adam:> DISP R7

Notes

When DISPLAY is run with the Prime Focus software, the image is automatically displayed with the finder field orientation. The Lexidata display is 640 pixels in the horizontal direction and 512 pixels in the vertical direction. Thus, for any orientation of an RCA image (350 512 pixels), the full image is visible. However, for a GEC image (400 590 pixels), if the rotator is at 90 or 270, the top and bottom of the image are not visible. The image can be shifted on the Lexidata screen by redefining the Lexidata coordinates at which the centre of the image will be placed. These coordinates are LXYC and LXXC, which normally have defaults of 255 and 320 respectively. Thus, to shift the image up by 100 pixels, type:

Adam:> LXYC = LXYC + 100

Adam:> DISP

The new value of LXYC will stay in force until redefined. DIPARM can be used to alter the scaling option (see below).
