You can identify the camera either by its name, or by the name of the instrument-focus that the camera serves. E.g. "eev15" and "blue" are equivalent if EEV15 is configured on the blue arm of ISIS.
For each command that operates on only one camera - i.e. almost all the observing commands for UltraDAS - the camera or instrument name is the first argument of the command. This argument is optional if only one camera is configured, but mandatory if two or more cameras are configured, even if only one camera is actually in use. "Configured" means here that the central intelligence of the observing system has been briefed to expect more than one camera by the obssys command given at the SYS> prompt.
The names required are the "formal" names of the camera or instrument which the dispensation that the names can be entered in either upper or lower case (formal names are normally case-sensitive). The formal names of cameras are typically the common names associated with the detectors, e.g.:
