  First method : Fly Iberia to Madrid . There are three flights a week to Santa Cruz de La Palma (Code SPC) from Madrid leaving in the afternoon. To get to Madrid you could try EasyJet or Iberia. Iberia have an nearly morning departure from Heathrow that will connect with the La Palma flight.

  Second method: Cheap charter flight from almost any UK airport to Tenerife South airport (Code TFS) on Tuesdays and Fridays. You can do this for £70 return if you are lucky! The flight will take 4 hours. If you arrive in Tenerife before about 5:00 pm you will have time to get a taxi to the port of Los Christianos where the Fred Olsen ferry leaves for La Palma at 7:00pm. It stops at La Gomera on the way and arrives in Santa Cruz de La Palma at 11:30pm. If you arrive in Tenerife much earlier or much later you have the option of staying the night in the south (Hotel Atlantic Playa in El Medano is close to the airport) or taking a £30 taxi ride to Tenerife North airport (also known as Los Rodeos, code TFN) from where you can get a regular inter-island flight to La Palma. The route is flown by Binter, a subsidiary of Iberia. To get from the south to the north will take one hour by taxi.

  Third method: JMC offer direct flights to La Palma from Manchester and Gatwick during the winter season. The flight is on a friday.

  Fourth method: more complex routing with Iberia passing through the Peninsular, generally Madrid Seville or Barcelona , and one other Canary Island airport, generally Tenerife North or Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
