ING Control Software Group

The ING Control Software Group exists to provide effective operational control software systems for use by the staff and visitors of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes. These software systems are provided in support of the defined goals of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes.

The provision of these operational control software systems includes both the maintenance of existing systems and the cost-effective and timely procurement of new systems. Both the maintenance and procurement of control software systems at ING are in accordance with the defined quality aims of the Group. The procurement of new software systems is the responsibility of the Group, with design and development being done either internally or externally as appropriate. The continuous improvement of these software systems is accomplished by the use of appropriate emerging technologies in new or re-engineered systems, in accordance with the long-term strategic aims the Group, and by the continued development of the quality objectives of the Group.
