Autofib 2 Fault - Failure To Pick Up Fibre (TO)

Description

It is possible the Autofib is losing its air supply . ICL will give an error 'failure to put down fibre'.  A quick check of this is described below.

Try

To solve this problem you will need the help of the duty engineer.  Before contacting the engineer, you can take the following check to identify if there is an air leak.

  1. Issue the ICL <afsleep> command to Autofib.
  2. Issue the ICL <afwake> command.
As Autofib goes through the wake process, the gripper can be heard to open and close.  If the gripper can not be heard to open and close,  then there most likely an air leak.
