Autofib 2 Fault - Eliminating WYFFOS Messages (TO)

Description

If there is a stream of annoying WYFFOS errors coming from the ICL window then you can use the following procedure as a work around to divert these errors to another window.

Try

To eliminate WYFFOS warning messages from ICL terminal perform the
following steps:

To kill the wyffos task, type the following at the ICL hh:mm:ss> prompt;

  1. hh:mm:ss> kill wyffos
  1. Start another decterm window on the vaxstation.
  2. In the new window type 'lpvg', and log on to lpvg as observer.
  3. Type 'y' to questions about disk space and news file.
  4. Type 'n' when asked whether you want to run the observing system.
Type the following at the $ prompt;
  1. $> icl
Type the following at the ICL hh:mm:ss> prompt;
  1. hh:mm:ss> load wht_wyffos_dir:wyffos_define
  2. hh:mm:ss> wyffos_load
  3. hh:mm:ss> wyffos_begin
All done. This will restart the wyffos tasks in the new decterm window.

If for some reason you need to shutdown this terminal;

Type the following at the ICL hh:mm:ss> prompt;

  1. hh:mm:ss> kill wyffos
  2. hh:mm:ss> exit
Type the following at the $ prompt;
  1. $ logout


You shut down the main ICL session in the same way.
