Section 4 : Removing AF2 (2/2)

Removal of Ancillary Items

1.       Remove the Westinghouse TV camera and store in the AF2 cabinet.
2.       The access platform can now be removed, after checking that there are no loose objects left laying around.
3.       Disconnect the air line from AF2 and store in the AF2 cabinet.

1.       Attach the AF2 lifting frame to the AF2 robot and support using the crane.
2.       Remove the bolts attaching AF2 to prime.
3.       Lift the AF2 robot to the basement and place it into its handling trolley.
4.       Fit the AF2 cover to protect the robot.

1.       Fit the cover onto the prime focus rotator lens.
2.       Turn the power off to the prime focus unit in the control room.
3.       Uncable the prime focus unit.
4.       Check that the lifting frame centre of gravity is correct for the prime focus rotator.
5.       Attach the lifting frame to the prime focus rotator and take the weight using the crane.
6.       Unbolt the prime focus rotator and crane it into its handling frame in the basement.
