SCOPE OF DOCUMENT

This document is intended to be an easy to use reference guide enabling the user to quickly find information that will assist in fault finding on the instruments electronic systems.

The guide has one page (printed version) devoted to each mechanism. This means all the information pertinent to a particular mechanism is in one place. The information given on each mechanism ties the hardware and 4MS software together. It is also intended to help decipher the diagnostic messages returned from the 4MS.

The document is supplied in a loose leaf format, allowing it to be arranged in the manner most convenient to the user. It is suggested however that it be arranged in order of the Stepper Motor boxes i.e. box Al - 4, Bl - 4 etc. Much of the other documentation is arranged in this fashion.
